The former Ceylon has suffered in recent years from civil disorder, which definitely places it in the travel adventure category. One side of the map covers Sri Lanka at 1:475 000 showing road networks, including some dirt tracks, locations of petrol stations and distances on main routes. It also shows railway lines, ferry connections and local airports.

On the reverse is an indexed road map of southern India which extends to Goa along the western coast and beyond Visakhapatnam in the east (i.e. including Madras). Inland coverage extends much further north to Bhopal and Jabalpur.

The map includes an excellent inset map of Colombo at 1:13 000 which highlights various sights, public buildings and selected accommodation.

Topograpgy is shown using altitude shading with some spot heights. The map is double sided and printed on durable waterproof, tear resistant plastic paper.
